The Mystery of Patterns

The Mystery of Patterns_2000

When using patterns in your interior decor, leave the fear factor at the door.

This is the mantra I tell myself when I attempt to lay down pieces that have pattern options. I have mentioned previously and going on now for three years ish.. how nervous I get when there is an attempt to step out of the box of solid colours.

Nervous like palm sweaty, eye cringing, wrinkly nose making, nervous. But not today satan! So here, I’ve pulled together items from various events happening around the grid. I promise it won’t be a long dissertation.

I opted for solids in the Trompe Loeil Triton Chairs (FaMESHed) so that there would be somewhere to rest your eyeballs. I must have played with the 21 texture options like a madwoman let loose in a Jo Ann’s.

Twenty One patterns in one chair! Lets not forget that these chairs are also available with a pillow and blanket (which have their owwwnnn texture options!). I did use a different set of pillows from Fancy Decor (Arcade) for my chairs however. They’re a great prize to chance at the Arcade right now.

So, bottom line, there really is no mystery to patterns in my book, and apart from picking a theory’s brain to death, I honestly think that whatever looks good, eat it! I mean, rez it! Sorry, wrong show.

Whether you’re into chevrons, geometrics, floral motifs, or even animal print, pattern matching does not have to be a hindrance to creating your unique style. In fact, your comfortable niche may unravel into a beautiful work of art!
