Somewhere between hours of post processing system layers and carpal tunnel from Hades, I realized that the Mesh Revolution of Second Life, wasn’t as bad of a monster as my so called friends had made it out to be.
Earlier this year I had an interesting conversation with an acquaintance who didn’t want anything to do with mesh until load times were considerably lower for his computer.
As of this date, I have less than a hundred contacts in Second Life, and most of them have never dared to wear or demo a mesh body. I’ve tried my best to explain that there are mesh products available that aren’t so graphic jello-y and proceeded to share this article to further clear some misgivings.
Knowledge is a powerful thing.
I’ve written all of that, up there, to implore you faithful non mesh reader, to step out in good faith and with a good attitude towards trying something new. The magic of shopping demos, is that they go away as soon as you empty your ‘trash’ folder.
Lucky for you and all of us there is a fair opening completely dedicated to furthering the cause for the Mesh revolution. Mesh Body Addicts Fair will start tomorrow (August 1st) and will run till the 21st of August. Details can be found here.
What better way to get your proverbial feet wet than to browse the wares of Second Life’s finest?
