What rain cannot wash away, are our memories and heart connections. The friendships we make in this virtual existence is by no means frivolous or vapid. They hold true, and they are as real as the rain soaked bygones of the past.
When you suffer the loss of a friend, take courage in knowing that the best part of the life that was lived was spent with you. Time will go on, like waves beating on a smooth stone, but it will never wash away that which was solid to begin with.
My heart and spirit goes out to the friends and family of Don Mill who encouraged photographers through his Second Life blog, Always in Good Company.
You will be sorely missed.
